Unfortunately, it has been awhile since I blogged. Between trying to figure out working part-time out of the house, managing, house, bills, babies, husband....and the fact due to sleep deprivation, I am going to have to forgo the weekly posts because I am losing track of what age Ellie is in weeks and go by months now.
We have had a super busy month of November. Ellie is continuing to grow and is constantly keeping Adam and I on our toes. Ellie discovered her hands and feet and has started chewing on everything. She has not quite mastered rolling over yet, but she has started scooting on her back. We will put her on her back on a blanket and then all of a sudden she is off the blanket.
Ellie took her first plane ride to visit her great nonnie and great papa for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time. Ellie did great on the plane and slept most of the time both ways. The airport employees were great as far as accomodating us which was nice considering it looked like we were traveling for 3 weeks and not 3 days! Ellie had a great time being held, loved on by all her aunts, uncles and cousins. So much so that when we came back, she still wanted to be held all the time.
Ellie has become very aware of her surroundings especially Shelby. If Shelby is around, she will follow her with her eyes which makes for an interesting feeding when I am giving her baby food. I have move to whatever direction Shelby is in.
She is babbling more often and sometimes makes the sounds dadadada, she loves grabbing things out of your hands, and has the sweetest little giggle.

Week 21
Ellie celebrated her first Halloween. She was a Chick-fil-A cow....and I think she was probably the cutest cow I had ever seen! Adam and I tried to get free Chick-fil-a sandwiches off of her but she decided to have a little "accident" and we had to wash her Halloween costume so we are going to have to take her another time for free chick-fil-a. We didn't take Ellie from house to house this year but did visit a few friends' houses.
She is defintiley developing quite the personality and knows how to work it especially when it comes to her mom and dad. If she is wanting something like being picked up...she will start to whine and then as soon as we come, she totally starts grinning from ear to ear and hold her arms out like pick me up. She is starting to pick things up like teething rings and put them to her mouth.
We have moved onto prunes which Ellie enjoyed...then we went to carrots. And right now we are on pears. She is eating a whole container of pears a day.

Week 20
This was a big week in the Foster house. Ellie has started on fruits and veggies!!! Her very first veggie that we tried was mashed up avacodo which went okay but I don't think I was able to get it smooth enough so for the time being I have her on organic jar baby food and then will attempt to start making my own food for her once she gets used to it. We currently just finished up the 4 days "allergy test" on sweet potatoes and they seemed to be a huge hit with Ellie. I think the whole act of a spoon going in her mouth is odd to her but every time I fed her she would smile so I think that is a good sign. And at times, she seems to enjoy the bib we have on her more than anything, but it's a start. Next on the list is prunes. Wish us luck!
